National Recognition Products is an Eco-Friendly Company. Our corporate-wide recycling campaign results in hundreds of tons of recyclable paper, aluminum and plastic each year. Additionally, we regularly recycle ink and toner cartridges. NRP receives all of its printing paper from a reputable domestic source within the SFI - Sustainable Forestry Initiative. We do not import our announcement paper. The majority of our papers have recycled content within them. We print with soy and water based inks, not petroleum based inks. We have cut our hazardous waste generation to zero over the last five years and are also a zero landfill company. 100% of production scraps or excesses are either fully recycled or go to a state-of-the art trash to energy facility strategically located less than two miles from our main facility. We have reduced our internal paper usage by 75% in the office over the last three years. While production output has increased by the double digits over the last couple of years, our energy consumption is down 20%. All packaging materials are 100% recycled and bio-degradable.
